Why eligibility is individual
There is no single answer that applies to everyone. A doctor may consider weight, BMI, metabolic risks, medical history, current medicines, symptoms, goals, and safety factors.
An online eligibility check can help organise information, but it is not a diagnosis or a final treatment decision.
BMI and health history
BMI is one screening tool, but it does not tell the whole story. Doctors may also consider waist-related risk, weight changes over time, lifestyle history, and India-specific metabolic risk patterns.
Health history matters because some conditions increase the need for careful review while others may make medication unsuitable.
Metabolic risk factors
- Doctors may ask about type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol concerns, fatty liver, PCOS, and sleep-related symptoms.
- Family history, age, previous lab results, and current symptoms may also influence the discussion.
- These factors do not automatically mean medication is suitable; they help guide medical evaluation.
Current medications
Current medicines can affect safety. Doctors may ask about diabetes medicines, blood pressure medicines, thyroid medicines, psychiatric medicines, supplements, and prior weight-loss products.
This helps identify interactions, overlapping side effects, and whether additional monitoring is needed.
Safety red flags
- Pregnancy, pregnancy planning, breastfeeding, pancreatitis history, gallbladder concerns, severe digestive symptoms, and certain thyroid-related risk factors may require caution.
- Severe symptoms, complex conditions, or unclear history may require in-person review or specialist input.
- A doctor may decide that medication is not appropriate even when weight-related concerns are present.
Why some people may need labs or in-person review
Doctors may recommend lab tests or in-person assessment to better understand metabolic health, organ function, symptoms, or medication safety.
This does not mean something is wrong. It may simply be the safer way to make an informed treatment decision.
What happens after ZentraHealth’s eligibility check
You receive an initial result based on the information you share. If doctor review may be appropriate, the next step is medical evaluation by a qualified professional.
ZentraHealth helps with education and care navigation. It does not guarantee eligibility, prescription, medicine access, or results.
